Crochet skinny scarf- free pattern

Time for a lacy one row repeat scarf perfect for spring and summer with infinite customization. Let your imagination run wild with this one!

About

Skinny scarf is versatile accessory that can make an outfit pop and look edgy. Wear it as headband, belt e.t.c. There so many ways that can be used. I am excited to share with you this subtle lacy scarf which is perfect for spring and summer. Add fringe and it look even more fun. Picture wearing it with a simple t shirt and jeans or a Maxi dress and blazer with sneakers. You run errands or take kids to their game in style.

Inspiration

This pattern is inspired by the cheerful and vibrant colours trending in 2023.I see Peachy, Rose pinks whenever I go to a mall and they are available in so many hues, I had to design something in that tint and I am not disappointed. The other reason for this skinny scarf was to come up with a design that is quick, uses only one ball of yarn and multi-functional. I was going for lacy look that has a spring vibe yet easy to follow. Spring time can still be nippy sometimes, It may take longer time to warm up that you do not get to enjoy scoop neck tops and Jewelry in your wardrobe yet you still want stylish.

Yarn

The Yarn I used for Coral reef Scarf is a soft light weight perfect for seasonal transitions from Loops and Threads called Luxe Merino. It is a 55% Superwash Merino and 45% Acrylic blend with stunning pastel palette which made is very hard to choose from. There are so many colors to choose from but If you have that colour love and you have been wondering what to make with for a while, this is the moment. It is a perfect stash buster for that one lonely skein leftover yarn after making a garment. It is category 3 yarn and has 410yards or 375m.

If you do not have access to this yarn, I think Coboo yarn by Lionbrand will be a perfect match. The drape from that yarn is amazing, I can picture the shells all beautiful and eyecatching

Here is another idea!! Mother’s day is around the corner so if you are planning to make something sentimental for your mother or a friend, make it using their favourite colour, you cannot go wrong with a quick handmade gift that will be utilized.

ADDING FRINGE

1.Wrap yarn around a book: this depends on how long the fringe will be. The book I used is 6” long

2.Wrap yarn around it and cut the strips on one end of the book.

3. Fold the strips in half

4. Insert hook on each stitch on the edge of the blanket. Pull the strip back through and hook the yarn at the middle.

5.Pull through and get the loop with index and thumb. Reach through the loop, grab the tail and pull until the knot is snug.

VOILA!!! YOU ARE DONE. I hope you had fun making the scarf.
