About

Thobo means harvest, the idea came to me that each year I take inventory of my life,I take time to reflect what life had offered me so far. It usually happens on Thanksgiving day. I am thankful for life everyday but that particular day makes it even more special.

Harvest season is when you reap what you sown, the amount of work and effort put to attain what you want in life. As a designer, I look back and appreciate what I have achieved by providing you with simple and beautiful designs and I appreciate the effort I put in all of them and your support.

Inspiration

Inspiration for this blanket comes from different colours you see before and during fall. You see all sorts of leaf colours that are beautiful, it makes you want to stop and appreciate what nature has to offer and smile. When you go on Pinterest, you see lots of mood boards and going through lots of those, helped me come to this colour combination.

YARN

The yarn I used is Craft smart Value yarn. The other option you can take is using Lionbrand Pound of Love yarn. There are so many color options to choose.

It is a cheap and affordable yarn with plenty of colour choices. My advice on this yarn is buy it all at once for your project so that you have the same colour and shade. Sometimes the shades come out differently, even the thickness and textures. I noticed some batches would come out softer and thinner while others are thicker, which will mess up your gauge.  You can always return in once you are done, but lets be honest, you would rather keep it.

Size

The blanket measured 55 by 60inches without the border, but it can be made into any size. All you need to remember that you need multiples of 2. it is made with 3 different colours with a beautiful texture and finish it up with a border. The colour combination is all in your hands, go with what speaks to you.
