Ludo crochet shawl Pattern
Hi, welcome to my blog. I am excited to share with you Ludo shawl pattern with you. Ludo means love. When I designed this shawl, I had butterflies in my stomach the first sketch I drew. The feeling you get when fall in love and excitement for something new. After deciding on which yarn to go with, Coming up with a name was not hard.” Love” love came to mind, love for colour, love for what you wear, love for making your own a beautiful shawl and adding a little something to a simple dress or jeans, t-shirt and blazer and be proud of what to wrap around the neck. 2 contrast colours make this beautiful asymmetrical shape so that you style it how ever you want.
Yarn
I used Yarnspirations Patons Canadiana Yarn in colours Oatmeal and Toasty gray in the picture below which is a 100% acrylic worsted weight yarn (4). There are lots of colours to choose from and it is easy to care.
Even though this was made with 100% acrylic, I bet using Merino yarn will accentuate the stitches even more. 5.5 mm/H hook is used for this shawl and you can make it big or smaller depending on your taste. One thing to keep in mind is you will need more yarn is you make it big and the other thing is, if it small, it will probably not wrap around the neck securely because is it not a typical triangle shape.
I think the following yarns would be a great substitute for this by Lionbrand yarns
Asymmetrical shawl shape
The pattern uses double crochet and single crochet stitches which means it is repetitive, you can crochet while watching your favourite show. If you can crochet and watch at the same time that is.I have tried that and it did not end well. It is addictive and so easy that I have made 4 with different colours and gifted them to my friends for Christmas.

This is the cherry on top of the pattern where we alternate the 2 stitches in every row and you can make it as big as you want.
