How to crochet Single crochet front loop stitch
Do you love exquisite yet simple stitch for any project? single crochet front loop only IS IT!!
I fell in love with this stitch at the beginning of the year. I have stitch dictionary book that I use for inspiration as I come with designs, I was paging through and there it was. The clean lines, simplicity yet modern looking was what drew me to it. it give a nice stretch which gives a lightweight end product but still looks amazing.
Single crochet front loop only is a one row repeat and it uses the very basic stitch, single crochet. The only difference is that, you insert your hook on the front loop.
When you look at the top of the stitch, there are 2 loops that make a “V” shape, the one closest to you is the front loop. You insert the hook on that loop and you are good to go.It is that simple and you can make lots of items with this stitch.
The stitch is very versatile, you can make anything really that comes to mind. To give you ideas, here are few patterns I made with this stitch.
My favourite part about this stitch is,It is beginner friendly, so someone who just started crocheting can easily make anything out of this stitch.Your imagination can go wild with this one. You could start with a blanket if ideas above are intimidating. Another idea Is a simple cup cozy which does not even take you an hour to make.
