Blankets are like free hugs waiting to happen, while adding class to your decor. Afternoon naps on the couch or binge watching your favourite show, sitting around the fire pit out in the backyard on a breezy night, you need a blanket to snuggle and give you extra comfort. Backyard blanket gives you all that.like you see in most Christmas movies, which I love by the way.

Inspiration

Pumpkin pie blanket is a modern easy pattern which was inspired by the Christmas movies I watch every year even though they have the same story line.I wanted to create the feeling I get when I see the characters snuggling on the couch holding a cup of hot chocolate and share the love and comfort on this pattern with you and hope you feel that when you finish the blanket.

Beginner friendly

As my first ever blanket throw design,I aimed to create a project that requires less going back and forth trying to figuring out what is next.Easy and clean was what I went for.The pattern is repetitive uses half double crochet stitch throughout and the subtle texture is from working the same stitch alternating the front and back loop.Once you finish the first fourteen row repeats then you can watch your favourite show and make it as big as you want.

I am not disappointed on how turned out.My only complaint is that,It took forever to finish, who can relate? I am glad I did it because the texture is amazing and it is a great piece to add to your home decor. I am excited to design more blankets in the future.

This amazing patterns comes in 4 other sizes which makes is a perfect gift, maybe a friend or family member is having a baby then you can make one.
